Permanently delete your OrderBy Shopkeeper account and all shop data

Deleting your shop account will:

  • • Permanently remove your shop profile and menu
  • • Delete all order records from your dashboard
  • • Remove access to customer order history and messages
  • • Cancel active subscriptions or services
  • • Disable your payment collection ability

What happens when you delete your account?

Immediate Deactivation:

Your shop will be immediately deactivated and removed from the OrderBy platform. Customers will no longer be able to place orders.

Data Deletion:

All personal shop data (name, address, contact info, menu, settings) will be permanently deleted within 30 days in compliance with GDPR and privacy regulations.

Data We Retain (with reasons):

Order receipts & transaction records: Retained for 7 years (India tax/GST compliance)
Payment history: Retained for dispute resolution & chargeback protection (180 days minimum)
Chat transcripts: Retained for 90 days to resolve customer disputes, then deleted
Anonymized analytics: Retained indefinitely (non-identifiable usage patterns)

Backup Data:

Your data will be removed from all active systems. Standard server backups may retain data for up to 90 days before expiring.

Open the OrderBy Shopkeeper App

Sign in with your shop account credentials

Go to Support Channel

Navigate to the Chat or Support section in the app

Type "account delete"

Send a message in the support chat and type exactly: account delete

Confirm & Verify Email

Follow the confirmation link sent to your registered email address within 7 days

Your shop is deactivated immediately after confirmation. All personal data is deleted within 30 days. Tax and payment records are retained for legal compliance (7 years minimum).

What happens to pending orders? expand_more

Upon deletion request, you must resolve all pending orders with customers. Your shop will be marked as inactive and no new orders can be placed. Existing orders remain visible for dispute resolution purposes.

Can I recover my account after deletion? expand_more

No, account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All shop data will be permanently removed. You can create a new shop account after deletion if needed.

What about pending payments and payouts? expand_more

Any pending payouts will be processed before account deletion. Outstanding balances must be settled. Payment records and transaction history will be retained for 7 years (tax compliance) but will not be accessible through your account.

What data is permanently deleted? expand_more

We permanently delete: shop profile, menu items, shop settings, preferences, customer reviews/ratings, and chat messages (after 90 days). We retain: order receipts (7 years), payment records (180 days minimum), and anonymized analytics.

Yes. We send a confirmation email to verify the deletion request. You must click the confirmation link within 7 days to complete the process. This ensures the deletion request is legitimate and prevents accidental account deletion.
